Unlike what has been said of the people of Amhara in general and that of Gondar in particular by TPLF cohorts, here is the reality of the culture that abhors thief and treachery. Compare this with what our 27 years looters did to Eritreans and pass your moral judgement..

ወ/ሮ ሻሺቲ ከ20 ዓመታት በላይ በአደራ ጠብቀው ያቆዩትን ቤት ለባለቤቷ ወ/ሮ ምግብ በዛሬው ዕለት ማክሰኞ የካቲት 10/2010 ዓ.ም እዚያው ጎንደር ውስጥ እንደሚያስረክቡ ተናገረዋል።

" ቤቱን በሚመለከት የሚደረገውን መዋጮ፣ ዓመታዊ ግብር ከፍለው፣ ወ/ሮ ሻሺቱ ተመዝግበው የሄዱትን ውሃ አስገብተው እንዳቆይዋቸው ይናገራሉ።

በየጊዜው ከሰጧቸው የኪራይ ገንዘብ በተጨማሪ በአሁኑ ሰዓት ከ50 ሺህ እስከ 60 ሺህ ብር በባንክ ማስቀመጣቸውን ወ/ሮ ሻሺቱ ይናገራሉ።

ወ/ሮ ምግብ አንድ ጊዜ መጥተው ቤታቸውን አይተዋል። ቤታቸውን ትተው ሲሄዱ ተመልሼ አገኘው ይሆናል ብለው ያስቡ እንደነበር ያስታውሳሉ። ለቃላቸው ታማኝ የሆኑት፣ ቃላቸውን ጠብቀው ያቆዩት ወ/ሮ ሻሺቱ የወ/ሮ ምግብን ተስፋ አሳክተዋል።

ከዚህ በፊት በመጡበት ወቅትም ቤታቸውና በህይወት የቆዩትን ጎረቤቶቸቸውን ሲያገኙ የነበረውንም ደስታ አይረሱትም።

ቤታቸው ሳይሸጥ አደራቸውን ጠብቀው በማቆየታቸው የተሰማቸውን ደስታ ወደር እንደሌለው ይናገራሉ።

"በጨለማ የሰጡኝን በብርሃን እንዳስረክብ ፈጣረዬን እለምን ነበር" ይላሉ አደራ ጠባቂዋ ወ/ሮ ሻሺቱ።
