The TPLF politician who had a second thought about learning Amharic in fact made the most memorable statement of the year. No statement made by politician or any Ethiopian could “outshine” his stupid statement. The guy deserves a reward for it.

They will learn Amharic to rule and control you, not for the fun of it. Why should Oromo learn Amharic when they have a territory of their own? When the Chinese come to knwo who Amhara are, they will abuse you. I think they will learn Tigrigna and Geez as it give more information about Ethiopia's (Aksum's) ancient culture. Amharic is primitive and backward compared to Geez and Tigrigna.
