Tigray is part of Ethiopia. But the government of Ethiopia supports Eritrea and has been against Tigray since Abiy Ahmed took power in April 2018. When TPLF-EPRDF was in power, there was strong anti-Tigray sentiment in Addis Ababa.

Tigray will survive and flourish without the support of Ethiopia's government. But why does the government treat Tigrayans badly, worse than Eritreans? Tigrayans are not jealous of Eritreans. But the issue is why an Ethiopian government gives more support and shows more sympathy to foreigners as are Eritreans????

I think it will be interesting for sociologists and social scientists to study this phenomena. Why would a government support foreigners more than it's own citizens??? In case of Tigray, Tigray Regional State does not need Ethiopian government support as Tigray is luckily well organised and has many friends outside Ethiopia. Some European countries do support Tigray.

The question is, is Ethiopia a collection of tribes or ethnic groups without national duty or consciousness??? The case of Tigray Regional State could serve as an example. Condemning TPLF is one thing, but suppressing and black mailing Tigray Regional State is wrong. Some even were attacking Tigrayans living in Addis Ababa. Some Tigrayan homes were confiscated by a mob. And yet Eritreans are roaming in Addis Ababa and even some showing them more friendship. This is a shameful act of a country against it's own citizens. Such acts of the government and the politicians could lead to fragmentation of Ethiopia. We are not convinced that Ethiopia has national consciousness or national obligation against citizens living in Ethiopia having Ethiopian citizenship. Oromos, Sidamas, Southern peoples are also treated as if they are not Ethiopians.

Medias like Zehabesha, Yeneta, Andafta report negatively about Tigray Regional State. And they report postively about Eritrea. Recently "SBS", an Amharic television, presented Eritrean singers where as they do not even mention about artists from Tigray. This should be changed as this erodes our integration as Ethiopians.
