Eritrea lives in deception and lies.
They present themselves as victims of TPLF.
The fact is TPLF did nothing to Eritrea and Eritreans.
It is Eritrea and Eritreans who have been attacking Tigray and Tigrayans.
It is not to make the situation worse Tigrayans do not take actions against Eritreans in Tigray or Ethiopia.

1998-2000 Ethio-Eritrea, it was Eritrea which started the war.
TPLF was defending Ethiopia and Tigray.
Eritreans who lived in Ethiopia were organizing armed insurrection against the community they lived.Underground groups or cells supporting Shaebya were disbanded and many were deported to Eritrea.
This is the right thing to do at that time as Eritreans are foreigners and Ethiopia cannot detain them or bring them to court. Eritreans deny this and say TPLF deported them because of hate. Meles Zenawi was an Eritrean and Eritreans were deported by him, Bereket Simon and others with Eritrean blood.

Meles Zenawi has said that we can deport persons if we do not like the colour of their eyes. Each country has a right to deport foreigners. This can happen also in the future. Countries have responsibility for their citizens. Why should other countries feed and house foreigners who would stand against them if war starts against their country of origin? Ethiopians tolerate foreigners because they have a culture of accepting any one coming to live in the country ( I wish they did this to each other). The common citizens do not oppose any one living in their town as long as they respect the law and customs.

In retrospect, TPLF has defended Eritreans more than Eritrea's government. Meles Zenawi started the policy of "no peace, no war" to defend Ethiopia's long term interests as Eritrea was sabotaging Ethiopia and carrying out subversive activities. It was the right policy. Now Eritreans compalin about policy, which is not right. First of all, Eritreans are foreigners just like Sudan, Uganda or Egypt. Not allowing them to come to Ethiopia or repatriating them to their country is right. Eritrean have no right to stay or work or live in Ethiopia. This happens when Ethiopians want and the government allows them to do.

In short, TPLF did do any thing wrong to Eritrea. TPLF did not betray Eritrea. Ethiopians should be aware that Eritrea is palying the victim. Eritrea has been active against Ethiopian interest such mobilising Ethiopians against The NIle Dam Project etc

There should some visa regulation and job protection for Ethiopians. If Eritreans want to come to Ethiopia, they should have a visa and a work permit just as they do it in Sudan or USA. The way it is done now is wrong. Eritrea is dictating it's needs on Ethiopia. Eritrea is importing all the things they need from Ethiopia. Eritrea should pay in hard currency, not in their local money. There should trade control as we do with other countries. Ethiopia is also soft towards North Sudan because of TPLF. |For all countries including South Sudan, North Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia, there should a regulated movement of goods and people just in Europe.
