When they were in power the TPLF leaders micromanaged every “ killel’s” business. In fact, the OPDO leaders to have had good grace with TPLF to hold on power in OPDO.
Now, as a renegade killel leader the TPLF leaders started to write their own law, which outdo the existing federal law, and they exclusively chose to hold an election contrary to the federal government directive.
They just thought the tribal politics extremists they assembled in the name of federalism savior or something would back them up.
Some of them now are in prison. The others are just Facebook warriors, who live their fantasy.
TPLF , to quote the late Chinese communist, is a paper tiger. If the Ethiopian government resorts to use force to end the sabotage in Mekele, it will be done fast. There will no be war as some assume. A well planned operation to apprehend the TPLF old guards will end TPLF as we know it without lives lost.
And then Ethiopians will start breathing freedom. For the last two years, every sabotage made to destabilize the Abiy government had the TPLF initiative and backing.
It should be stopped. It is practically impossible to imagine having a peaceful Ethiopia while the TPLF old guards run Tigray like their family business.
