The first court in Oromia having found no guilt on Lidetu , released him free, yet Abiye, Birr ahun and Shabia gangs won't release him so they concocted a new fake charge and took him to another court. The 2nd court also found no real reason to hold him so they said we decided to release him on bail. Yet after 3 days, Lidetu is still in jail. Police won't release him .We all know this a plot by Abiye, who is hell scared of Lidetu. My goodness Weyane was also sacred of Lidetu but not his much. It is truly a shame. Abiye talks about human rights , democracy ,etc while he is jailing people just because either he don't like them or is scared to run against them in a free and fair election. Abiye is a dictator, coward and liar. This drama around Lidetu is beyond any proof one can ask for. It is truly a shame. Shame on you Abiye. Finally having enough of Abiye's lies and deceit, Ethiopian Human Rights commisssion issued this statement.
(ADDIS ABABA) - Authorities should
promptly release Lidetu Ayalew and other detainees who have continued to be
held in detention despite bail orders by courts, the Ethiopian Human Rights
Commission (EHRC) said.
On September 22, a high
court in East Shoa Zone, Oromia Region, granted Lidetu bail of 100,000 birr,
but authorities are yet to implement the decision.
“The continued
detentions of Lidetu and others in spite of bail grants reflect disregard for
the rule of law and are violations of human rights,” said Daniel Bekele, EHRC’s
chief commissioner.
