Without going into the details of this topic, do you remember a discussion in this forum a while back? To refresh your memory, I made a reference in passant in a comment. In passant because it wasn’t the main point in the comment.

You were quick to react to it and literally rant about it alleging that I made it up.

I didn’t rant in return. Instead, I provided a link to the reference in my comment.

The Eritrean Cigar then commented that an apology was owed.

If you didn’t apologize and moved on, you moved on with two mistakes, that you mistakenly alleged that I made up the story and that you moved on without acknowledging that your mistake had been straightened.

I did not ask then and I am not asking now that you apologize. You are entitled to your own judgment calls. However, it became one of the important clues why the Eritreans, far fewer than us the Ethiopians, defeated Ethiopia in 1991.

Surely, straightening is virtuous. However, if your ego is in it, it is disastrous.
