So... why did Ethiopia comply with Somalia's demands to pull its ambassadors from Somaliland and Puntland, and the closure of its consulates?

Today, one does not need a physical office. Everything goes virtual, may be 2/3 of skilled workforce is telecommuting or remote. The Brick-and-mortar stuff is getting out dated.

It is cutting operating cost!
