#Ethiopia: City police say three killed, three injured during a shootout with “extremist Fano” members in #Addis_Abeba city https://addisstandard.com/?p=43272

The Addis Abeba Police Commission has announced that its members have taken “actions against the extremist #Fano leadership and members” following a shootout between security forces and members of the Fano militants that took place near the Millennium Hall in the capital Addis Abeba today.

Accordingly, two members of the group were killed while one was apprehended, the police said.

Furthermore, two police officers, Sergeant Arrarsa Teshome and Constable Matias Petros were also injured in the shootout.

A civilian called Endeshaw Getnet was killed “by the extremists” for refusing to cooperate when they forced him to give them a ride, the city police said.

The incident came one year into the start of the armed confrontations between government forces and Fano militants. But this is the first known report by the police involving a shootout between members of government security forces and Fano militants in the capital city.

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk tiagos dream in reality

can you imagine only 4 or 5 fano members can cause such insanity in a capital city?

I don't agree with this action rather Fano operatives should only target politicians and avoid shooting at police

Great news. Now hodam supporters of PP and satan Mamo Killo realize that Fano is everywhere and they are reachable. Addis Ababa is not their safe haven anymore.

The song now is " Fano has arrived, Fano has arrived "

The difference between Woyanes and Fano is that Woyanes knew they had no support to come back to power. So their only goal was to achieve sovereignty for Tigray. So they got tricked by satan Mamo Killo after he conceded defeat and agreed to provide them whatever they needed. That is why they retreated from Debrebirhan back to Mekele.
In the case of Fano, they have popular support especially in Addis Ababa and in the south. That means 70% of the country supports them for sure. And there is no doubt Oromo elites are salivating to join them in a coalition government as satan Mamo Killo proved himself the #1 deceiver and killer of Oromo people. His latest assasination of an outspoken and brave OLF leader and the jailing of Taye Dendea is proof to the Oromos that PP is is their enemy. Jawar is also not sleeping for satan Mamo Killo. He is waiting for the right time to avenge his imprisonment and all misfortunes due to this satan.

He is indeed, a hero and martyr. He broke the silence and fear of Addis Ababa. PP-OLF is now too scared. Most officials are reportedly fear to go to office and leave their home. Addis Ababa is almost on lockdown. If 3 men could do this much, imagine when Fano conduct a full-scale attack.
