The Ethiopian Orthodox Church was established in Axum in the 4th Century and become state religion during King Ezana time. By the mid of 10th Century Axum was destroyed and political power and the center of the Orthodox Church was shifted to the present day Lalibella, with the establishment the Zagwe Dynasty, up to the mid of the 13 century.

By the 2nd half of the 13th century Ethiopian political power shifted from Zagwe((Agew) Dynasty to the Showan dynasty in a hostile manner but the Ethiopian Orthodox Church through Abune Teklehaimanot ( the Miracle man , preacher and founder of the Debre Libanos Monastery) also was used to broker the transition and to consolidate the Showan power through a fictitious but creative link between the Showan rulers and King Solomon of Israel.

The Showan dynasty ruled Ethiopia for more than 7 centuries , except a few interruptions until it was uprooted by the military government in 1974. At the same time, the Ethiopian Orthodox also lost it's special privilege of being the state religion and and the military government killed the then Archbishop Abune Theophilos.

The archaic unitary Ethiopia dreamers have been complaining about the loss of their power for a half a century and still trying thier best to come to power through the support of the Orthodox Church and external governments such as Isaias and Egypt. The bad news is that the future of Ethiopia is to be led by the strategic alliance of Oromos and Tigrayans and their will not be a chance for archaic unitary Ethiopia dreamers to get the driving seat ever again. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church and the Amhara state are going to be in continues confusion, instability and infighting until the Orthodox Church abandons politics and carry the true Gospel to the world and it's center is moved to Axum, whereas the Amhara state will adapt to the situation and focus on economic success irrespective of who is leading the country.
The following are going to happen to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and to the world in the years to come:

1- Contuination of confusion and division in the church as Amhara politicians desperately try to use the church to get political upper hand in Ethiopia, which will not be successful.

2- The center of the Church shall be moved from Addis Ababa/ Aba Libanos Monastery to Axum / Axum Mariam Zion Church . That will help to keep Ethiopia stay united.

3- The Church at some point shall decide to abandon politics and focus on preaching the true Bible based Gospel(similar to the Aba Estifanos movement) , which will bring great Christian revival through out Ethiopia and transform Ethiopia to be a Christian nation. Once again the reemergence of Christianity as a state religion and Ethiopia opposing the global illuminati demonic movement.

4- The Christian revival in Ethiopia shall give birth to a global revival that prepares the world for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

5- The return of the Arch of Covenant( which is now in Axum) to Israel after the 3rd Jew temple is constructed in Jerusalem

6- The coming of the Anti-Christ and the False- Prophet

7- The coming of Jesus Christ to rule the world for 1000 years after the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet are thrown to fire and the Dragon/ Lucifer is arrested for 1000 years.
